An exciting opportunity for a midweight graphic designer with strong publication skills to join a fast-paced, lively, full service London-based design studio specialising in print and digital communication.

Our client list is extensive and spans the sports sector, travel and tourism, FMCGs and charities and our work varies from websites, digital and printed magazines, corporate branding, publications and large format event work.

Must have requirements:
- Two years’ experience in a design studio or publishing house. (If you have less, you’ll need to prove to us why we should hire you.)
- Graphic design related degree
- Strong skills in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Attention to detail
- An impressive folio demonstrating creativity and original thought and containing publishing work
- Understanding of print processes
- Hard-working, able to work quickly, confidently and independently when required, to tight deadlines
- Team-player
- Good sense of humour

Design academy - WPA Pinfold

WPA Pinfold are hosting a 'design open day' at their Leeds studio, which is solely for design graduates and postgraduates who wish to join their Design Academy.

They are currently recruiting 2 junior designers to join the Design Academy for a 12 month period with the possibility of a full time position on either the brand communications team or digital team.

There will be the opportunity to see how a professional design consultancy operates, first hand, and find out what life is like on the inside.

There will be a short presentation on WPA Pinfold and their working methods and this will be followed by the opportunity to have an informal chat with designers.

Bauer Radio are looking for a creative, innovative senior digital designer to join our Digital Team as maternity cover.

Based in our Manchester Digital hub you will be working with our team of designers, developers and content writers to deliver engaging and eye catching content across our national portfolio of sites.

Assisting various teams across the Group, you will create a variety of commercial features, advertisements and micro-sites to support the success of each team. You will also be able to support our local web editors when they need your help in areas such as image manipulation, website design/ development.

You will also have a good working knowledge of the following design tools & applications: Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and Flash. The ability to use content management systems is essential.

To be successful you will be able to communicate in a clear and friendly manner at all levels and have proven web design experience and a skill set that includes HTML, JavaScript and CSS. PHP and MYSQL knowledge would be advantageous, although not essential.

As the senior designer you will also be responsible for the day to day management of the design team workload as well as the sole project manager for large group projects. With this in mind a proven track record in project management is essential.
