Junior designer - The Writer, London Bridge

Junior designer
Hello, we’re The Writer (www.thewriter.com), London Bridge’s finest and most modest language consultancy. We’re looking for someone who can paint pictures worth thousands of words, for us and our clients. That could be print and digital stuff, as well as simple things like PowerPoint and Word.

You’ll make us look good
We’ll give you the keys to our visual identity. You’ll design presentations, proposals, marketing materials, invitations… pretty much anything we produce. You’ll also help the rest of us create good-looking stuff ourselves. And hound our suppliers, like printers and illustrators, to make sure everything they do meets your exacting standards.

You’ll make our creative work look good
You’ll take and interpret briefs from clients. You’ll design up potential brand names. You’ll turn our words into guidelines, brand books, ads, training packs and the like, all in line with our clients’ brand guidelines. You’ll present your ideas to us and clients. And we’ll give you your very own design guru as a mentor.

You’ll just get on with it… brilliantly
You’ll be the sort of person who can get on with your work without constant direction. You won’t get too flustered if you have to drop everything because something unexpected’s come up. And you’ll have loads of great ideas and suggestions to improve the way we do things.

Sound like you? Send your CV, with 300 words telling us why you’re perfect for the job, to pickme@thewriter.com. You’ve got till 14th May 2012.
