Student Designs Awards for Midlands Award ceremony

Jordan Kendall, who studies Illustration has designed the trophies for the West Midlands Institute of Directors’ award ceremony, at Edgbaston cricket ground.

Jordan, was selected to design the award for the ‘IoD’ by the University of Wolverhampton’s Faculty of Arts course leader, John Clementson.

John said, “Jordan has responded well to a broad range of challenges this year and was a prime candidate for the commission.

“The staff team are delighted for him; the experience gained will be of immense value in his final year.

“Jordan's approach was fresh, thoughtful and very professional throughout.”

The dedicated student took on the challenge to design the award and was himself rewarded with a number of job offers, one of which he has accepted

John Phillips, Regional Director for the Institute of Directors said. “This was an important project for us. Our director awards are very important as many of our members have achieved great things sometimes under difficult circumstances and they deserve to have their achievements rewarded.

“We were delighted to commission Jordan to make our trophies and he was a pleasure to work with and quickly became involved in the detail and spirit of the project. It was great to have individual art pieces as trophies and much more personal than buying an ‘off the shelf’ product.
I am sure
Jordan will have a great future as a commercial artist and we will do our best to give him a lift along the way.
The IoD very much values its relationship with the University of Wolverhampton, School of Art.”
