We are looking for a logo!

The Media Diversity Institute (MDI) is launching a Logo Design Competition for students and young professionals.

This is a great opportunity for young designers not only to practice their skills, but also to gain visibility on an international level, for a European Elections project that will be prominent in Italy, Greece, and Hungary, as well as in the UK, tackling racism and xenophobia. The project “Our Europe, Our Elections!” – The principal goal of the project is to engage young people in Greece, Hungary and Italy around an issue that will be key to the 2014 European Elections: migration, and the importance of fighting xenophobic speech and promoting inclusive attitudes around this. This project will run a social media campaign from February to May 2014, targeting young people in the three countries, encouraging their participation in elections, promoting inclusive attitudes, diffusing positive stories about migration, and exposing the attitudes, misrepresentations, and manipulation of xenophobic politicians through humour and drama. The objectives of the project are: i) raising awareness and countering xenophobic politics in times of European (and other) elections; ii) promoting positive messages about migration to counter misinformation spread by extremist groups; and iii) engaging young people active in social media to become more aware of these issues and to participate in elections.

The logo We need a logo for our online presence. It must be the right size to use it as a profile picture on Facebook, Twitter, as well as on our websites in Italy, Greece, Hungary, and the UK. The logo should capture and represent the project. All ideas are welcome!
