There are two categories:
• Professional
• Student
Each participant is able to submit only a single work. The work must have been created between January 2014 and April 30th, 2015. The subject of the illustrations must be related to science or nature and the technique is free. The proposals must not include watermarks.
• Student
Each participant is able to submit only a single work. The work must have been created between January 2014 and April 30th, 2015. The subject of the illustrations must be related to science or nature and the technique is free. The proposals must not include watermarks.
The proposals shall enclose a description of it of about 150-200 words in Spanish, Catalan or English.
There is no entry fee.
Eligibility
All work teams or individuals aged over 18 years old may participate in this Award regardless of the country of residence.

Prize
From among all received proposals, the jury will select for their scientific accuracy, clarity, originality and information capacity the 40 works that will take part in the exhibition of the third edition of Il·lustraciència.
The jury will also select the winning proposal, the winners of the training awards and up to five special awards to the most outstanding works. The Audience Award will be made through popular vote on the official website of the award.
The author of the winning illustration will receive 600 EUR (approx. 635 USD), while the author of the work selected by the audience will receive 200 EUR (approx. 210 USD).
The participants in the student category, in addition to access to the cash prizes, could get one of two Wacom tablets (Intuos Pro M and Intuos Pen & Touch S); or one of five training awards.
