A start-up high-end fashion and social networking e-commerce site requires a full-time digital designer/graphic designer immediately. The website is currently a beta site and going through a complete overhaul due to launch in October.
We are looking for a highly creative individual with 2-3 years experience who will assist and work directly with the Art Director to produce various online content, assist other departments with design requirements, assist on fashion shoots, research artists/photographers/directors who can create additional content, build sets and shoot in-house, manage and archive an image library, manage some basic CMS tasks.
Previous experience with a high-end fashion brands is not necessary as long as you show truly remarkable creativity and hunger to produce new and exciting content all the time with challenging deadlines. Someone who is also internet-savvy and passionate about researching and implementing new ideas is a must.
The designer will also manage the day-to-day art direction of the site to make sure that all the content published by other departments of the company are up to creative standards and to also ensure new content is published constantly as to make the website exciting at all times. You must show good initiative to work independently as well as enjoying being part of a friendly and professional team.
You’ll have superb layout, typography and experience of art direction, be fully conversant in Adobe Creative Suite with a basic understanding of HTML and all technical requirements of designing for web. Good knowledge and passion of photography is also helpful.
