Junction - free contemporary arts festival, September 2-3

Junction is a free contemporary arts festival taking place on 2nd and 3rd of September 2011 in Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton. The festival brings together a broad spectrum of work from local and regional artists including visual art, live art, video projection, interventions and music all in a lively two day programme. Audiences will also have the opportunity to look around artist’s studios with White Tree Studios and Eagle Works opening their doors during the weekend.

Junction is organised by Wolverhampton Contemporary Art Forum (WCAF), a group comprised predominantly of practicing visual artists. WCAF aim to raise the profile of contemporary art in Wolverhampton and promote the networking of visual arts practice across the city. The festival will be the group’s first major event.

Artists work will appear in the showrooms of local traders, cafes, public houses and interventions in the street. With generous support from many local businesses and organisations we are able to bring you this exciting festival, contributing to the vibrant and upbeat feel of this edge of city-centre community.
