Position: Junior Designer/Mac Operator - Digital/Print Publishing
Salary: Circa £19,000

Our client has a 100 year history in the textiles sector. The company has a turnover in excess of £8 Million and employs over 70 people.

They are looking to recruit a Junior Designer who can support the delivery of an effective in-house design service and the production of on and off-line design projects such as advertisements, leaflets, newsletters, posters and websites.

Role: 
Utilising a high standard to support the Design & Marketing Manager, you will ensure that business priorities, objectives and messages are translated into effective design concepts, which are audience appropriate and form the basis of successful marketing activities. As a brand champion, you will communicate clear messages regarding brand values and brand guidelines in all areas of the business including packaging whilst working with the Design & Marketing Manager to ensure that all design activity adheres to these guidelines.
Experience: You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in Design & Digital Media or an equivalent related subject with proven experience of delivering effective design work as part of broader marketing campaigns in line with corporate strategy. An experienced Apple mac user and able to produce a range of on and off-line design projects. You will have a background in the delivery of design collateral such as brochures, advertisements, leaflets, newsletters and posters and digital media within a specified timeline and have experience of the entire marketing mix.

An excellent communicator, you must also have the ability to write and present clear design proposals, storyboards, reports and presentations; demonstrating an innovative and creative approach to your work.

A good knowledge of photography is a must as product shoots are an important part of this role.

The digital focus of this role will be based around Flash (banners), motion graphics (After Effects) and HTML/CSS coding.
