Tim Lovatt's work has focused on comic book industry as well as issues it raises in culture. These include as the affect of comic stories and their images on consumers, especially the younger reader.
"For my Master's project I am concentrating on how literature and images are illustrated in comic books. In doing so I will be producing a comic strip of 13 images using selected text from Sun Tzu's "The Art of War."
Creative literature can be a powerful tool used within society, for instance it can be used for educational purposes which is why I find great inspiration in illustrating this ancient text which has had a vast influence on the world covering management and leadership in both business and military strategies. In the hope that a historical text may yet contain lessons worth consideration by society today." says Tim
