After a 2-year residency with The New Art Gallery Walsall, the Archive Gallery on Floor 1 has been transformed by contemporary artists Bob and Roberta Smith. Working in collaboration with Archive Curator Neil Lebeter, they have rifled through the letters, photographs and documents held in the basement of the gallery, creating new works and short films in response to what was found.
Displaying contemporary art and archives side by side, Bob and Roberta Smith’s Epstein Archive Gallery will showcase this 2-year journey into Love, Sorrow and Obsession.
Sit down, relax and take in the history of an extraordinary family – all seen through the unique eyes of Bob and Roberta Smith.
