Tuesday 11th October 2011, 6.00pm, MK045
School of Art and Design University of Wolverhampton
Neal White has for many years worked in and across fine art media. Co-founder in 1996 of the art and technology practice Soda (Soda Creative Technologies Ltd 1996-02), he has since worked collaboratively with a range of artists, authors, architects and academics (John Latham, N55, Lawrence Norfolk). His work interrogates social and critical spaces through collaborative art methods and art materials, operating along the fine line between how art thinks and the effect that art has within a given context.
White is a Director of O+I (formerly Artist Placement Group), is an Associate Professor in Art and Media Practice, The Media School, Bournemouth University and an Associate Research Fellow at Chelsea College of Art and Design.
He is also a founder member of the Office of Experiments an independent research practice and collaborative structure that tests experimental forms of critical and cultural production.
This lecture has been arranged in conjunction with the
Art, Critique and Social Practice Research Cluster
